Pools are an in-demand home feature. Be sure to show them off.
A pool is a home feature that is only growing in demand as people examine their changed relationship with their home. When getting a home with one ready for listing photography, there are a few additional considerations to make when booking and prepping for an appointment.
Prep
The pool and deck should be as clean as possible in order to grab buyer’s attention and make the space seem well maintained. Prune back any overhanging trees or other landscape crowding the space to provide a clear view of the pool.
Consider lightly staging the area with some outdoor furniture and plants to give it the feel of an extension of the living space. Pool toys, towels, etc. should be removed and stored, however.

Our industry-best real estate photos will easily be able to capture the beauty of a pool in exterior shots, but there are a couple of other things that can be done to really display it.
Some agents have recently been requesting that we include a small view of a home's outdoor space in walkthrough videos. This serves to make the indoor and outdoor spaces of a home feel like one cohesive living area.
Drone photography is another great way to show a pool. It gives the pool a sense of scale relative to the home and lot, and the different perspective of the home really draws the eye.
